Bureau for Public

Outreach

Where one of the main tenets of the library has been equal access to information for all, my partner and I saw this developing further to encompass equal access not only to government services, such as Public Works, Police, CalTrans and so on, but also to interior space and the freedom to do with it what one chooses without the stipulation that an individual must read, produce or consume.

At the site of the current Oakland Main Public Library, this is the Oakland BPO (Bureau for Public Outreach).

Wow, you're reading the footer. Really, even with this super light font? You got those young eyes.

I mean kudos; here's a fun fact for your troubles. Did you know kiwi's lay eggs that are 25% of their body weight? Go figure.
